Senior Security Management Advisor

SOSi is currently seeking a Senior Security Management Advisor to serve as an OCONUS SSO Support Team Lead. The Senior Security Management Advisor will mentor and provide guidance to a team of Contract Special Security Officers (CSSO) and CSSRs.
Essential Job Duties
- Attend coordination meetings with the TSSO and Military/Government Site Leads, and be prepared to discuss planned leave for contractor personnel 30 calendar days prior to scheduled dates, as well as any significant operational issues, etc.
- Be proficient in all security duties and capable of providing back up task support to CSSOs and CSSRs, when required.
- Assist and provide advice on all aspects of security support, working in coordination with an integrated military staff.
- Develop and assist in the development of policies and SOPs, IAW applicable policies and regulations, such as DoD, ICD, USFOR-G, and FRAGOs for administration of the agency/organization security program.
- Conduct applicable security education and training for agency/organization personnel.
- Troubleshoot routine personnel security, physical security, and information security issues.
- Utilize the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)/Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS) and the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) system to process and support the processing of personnel security investigations for eligibility/access to classified information and the reporting of security incidents.
- Assist with conducting SCI pre-screening interviews, conducting SCI indoctrination briefings and debriefings, processing incoming/out-going SCI, visit certification in JPAS/DISS/JCAVS when appropriate, or through other security systems, updating JPAS/DISS/JCAVS to add and remove accesses, and updating the organizations badging system/ACS to grant/remove accesses.
- Formulate and implement procedures and monitor compliance with automated information systems requirements IAW USFOR-G, SOCOM or USAREUR-AF Policy and or SOPs.
- Assist SSO in the management of the physical security aspects of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) lifecycle from concept approval; the development and implementation of a SCIF construction security plan (CSP); completing, maintaining, updating, and submitting the Fix Facility Checklist (FFC) and TEMPEST Addendum to the FFC for accreditation/re-accreditation; and proper SCIF close-out procedures.
- Ad hoc/anticipated deliverables include (but not limited to): meeting summaries; drawdown planning documentation; SCIF physical waiver(s); procedures, reports, information papers, and briefing /training materials.
Minimum Requirements
- Active in scope TS/SCI clearance.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of related experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last two (2) years.
- At least seven (7) years of experience applying security standards that apply to SCI Facilities (SCIFs) as outlined in ICD 705, Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 705-1, IC Tech Spec-for ICD/ICS 705, and DoD Manual 5105.21 Volume 1-3.
- Experience developing and interpreting security policy for Senior Level Government and Industry personnel.
- Experience having developed in-depth Collateral/SCI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
- Thorough familiarity with all security clearance processes.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings to ensure facilities meet security requirements.
- Experience evaluating and processing approvals/accreditations for Tactical SCIFs (T-SCIF), Secure working Areas (SWA), and Temporary Secure Working Areas (TSWA) in a non- traditional environment to perform critical contingency tasks.
- Four (4) years of experience utilizing Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s degree in a related area from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Deployment operational experience OCONUS and preferred Security Fundamentals Professional Certification.
- Completed Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 Physical Security course (or equivalent).
- Completed Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) SSO course (or equivalent).
Work Environment
- Living and working conditions while TDY or deployed could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, adverse conditions, and relocation on short notice.
