SOSi is seeking a Healthcare Administration Manager (HCAM) to provide oversite, direction, and supervision to Healthcare Administrators (HCAs) at U.S. Government healthcare facilities at distributed locations in the United States. In addition, the HCAM will be responsible for training and orientation of new HCAs and for establishing and maintaining an active backup plan for each site to ensure required HCA coverage at each location.


Essential Job Duties

  • Assists the Program Manager in developing, managing, and tracking priories.
  • Make recommendations and decisions on policies and resource allocation to support healthcare facilities.
  • Provide the day-to-day interaction with multiple HCAs at distributed locations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate operational reporting.
  • Synchronize PMO efforts in support of HCAs.
  • Oversea the training program.
  • Travel to operational sites in the U.S. each quarter.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school reviewed by the Department of Education, in Business, Health Care Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in a complex health care setting as an administrator with strong business and management skills.
  • Experience on U.S. Government contracts.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain pre-employment medical clearance.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of concepts related to effective supervision, staff administration and Human Recourses.
  • Ability to effectively schedule, manage and team-build with a multidisciplinary workforce.
  • Knowledge of staff development and basic adult learner teaching skills
  • Knowledge of the licensing and certification requirements for the professional disciplines operating in the healthcare facilities, in the state in which the duty station is located.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in schedules and flexibility in work requirements.
  • Ability to communicate proficiently in English (verbal and written) in order to develop positive rapport with co-workers and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to navigate in an electronic work environment including electronic health records, web-based training and communications.
  • Knowledge of and functional proficiency in common Microsoft Office programs, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

  • Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting is preferred, not required.

Work Environment

  • Typical office working environment.
  • May require short term temporary work at 24/7/365 facilities; employee may be required to respond during an emergency activation.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, as well as weekends and holidays when required.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
