Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Systems Administrator (Linux) to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. The customer based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for our customer, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable our Customer to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies.


Essential Job Duties

As a Cyber Systems Administrator (Linux) at SOS International LLC, you will assist in managing network operations, maintenance, and security of our Linux infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all DoD guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure Linux systems administration, and data-centric network security best practices. The candidate will work with customers, partners, stakeholders, and various internal teams in troubleshooting problems and implementing security policies and procedures.

 

  • Install, configure, and maintain a secure Linux infrastructure. 
  • Implement and manage security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). 
  • Configure, update and maintain the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) to monitor and analyze enterprise security events. 
  • Assist the ISSOs and Configuration Manager in maintaining a secure system baseline. 
  • Implement and maintain RedHat Satellite and contribute to automation efforts via Ansible. 
  • Maintain patch management systems to ensure timely operating system and application updates. 
  • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve issues with applications, systems, and related components, specifically those impacting mission functionality and/or availability. 
  • Maintain Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on the latest cyber security threats and vulnerabilities and the implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies. 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security standards and procedures. 
  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies. 
  • Continuously improve security posture and incident response capabilities according to provided guidelines. 
  • Provide status updates and briefings to management, enterprise, and government customers as required. Completes activity reports in accordance with contract requirements. 
  • Participate in related solutions technologies and special projects. 

 


Minimum Requirements

  • An Active SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any technical discipline of Information Technology with 4+ years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education, work experience, and technical certifications in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8140 compliant certifications: Security+ or CySA+ AND Red Hat Certification (RHCSA) 
  • Experience with Linux Systems Administration. 
  • Experience with Shell scripting. 
  • Experience with Tenable.SC and Nessus

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility
