Senior Systems Administrator
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Windows servers running on VMWare at dispersed data centers and/or Redhat Linux. General tasks include managing hardware, deploying new servers, patch management, application deployment, storage configuration and management. Server OS must be maintained according to customer security requirements, maintaining minimum patch standards and configurations.
Essential Job Duties
- Establish working relations with all organizational levels
- Deal diplomatically and effectively with Government officials and program office stakeholders
- Work at a high pace environment with multiple sites as a team to accomplish mission requirements
- Manage Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Support Network Operations with technical support and problem-solving skills
- Operate and maintain VMware virtualized environments
- Plan, coordinate, and document revised/updated procedures, processes, and methods
- Use Remedy ITSM or similar ticket systems to track and resolve problems
- Troubleshoot complex issues using GUI, command line interface, and Windows PowerShell
- Use diagnostic tools to trace and resolve technical problems
- Work with remote customers and technical support vendors to resolve complicated hardware and software issues
- Provide administrative support for servers and workstations
- Apply configuration to maintain DISA STIG compliance
- Apply provided patches to keep servers and workstations compliant with IAVM requirements
- Provide creative solutions to maintain operational status of servers and workstations
- Provide Site Administrator functions of Host Base Security Suite (HBSS)
- Support RMF staff with security updates and writing POAMs
Minimum Requirements
- Active in scope SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility.
- HS +6 years of experience or AA/AS +4 or BA/BS +2 in related field
- DoD 8570 IAT-II (Security+ CE, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) at hire
- Microsoft Server Certification (ex. AZ-801) or VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) certification w/in 180 days of hire
- Knowledge and Experience with:
- Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)
- Microsoft Server 2012 and later
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
- Microsoft SQL 2012 and later
- Microsoft IIS 8.0 and later
- Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Microsoft Office 2013 and later
- RedHat Linux
- VMware vSphere 6.5 and later, HA, DRS
- Xen Hypervisor
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-motivated leader able to perform without supervision.
- Proactive management of IT systems including Windows Server environments, VMWare and/or Red Hat Linux.
- Knowledgeable of DoD regulations, STIGs, IAVA processes and RMF
Work Environment
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Working from home may be an option.
- Travel to Contingency of Operations Plan (COOP) sites.
- Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
